I've had a camera in my hands since my late teen years. At times, I can understand why my wife threatens to amputate it from my hands.

 

It is clearly a passion for me that has been nurtured over time as I've received awards and accolades for my work for the past 40 years.   When not doing photography I would be teaching and consulting.

 

Today I blend these skills and enjoy sharing my photographic passion with others.   As an executive member of the RA Photo Club (one of the largest in Canada) and the organizer of the Ottawa Photography Meetup (now with over 2200 members) I’m constantly networking with hundreds of photographers, teaching and coaching at all levels.

My style is a blend of hands-on guidance with a dose of "why" things work and how to adopt them.  My students / workshop attendees routinely say  I make things simple to follow and they are well prepared to continue growing long after our mutual session(s) end.
